think white chicks of 2005, only way better. what's impressive is they didn't need to resort to toilet humor or racial jokes to make people laugh like all teen comedies do nowadays. no yo' momma jokes, no persistent flatulence and defecation, just pure witty, well-written comedy. i give all the credit to vince vaughn, who's mainly responsible for making the movie funny from start to finish. if you think he was funny in mr & mrs smith (despite the small role), then you've seen nothing yet. hell, i think this one is his best movie yet. also, isla fisher as the "clinger" girlfriend complimented him real well. owen wilson was alright. thought i felt he didn't contribute much (except for providing the mushy counterpart), whatever extra laugh he brings to the table is an added bonus. besides, his nose alone is a marvel to look at. rachel mcadams on the other hands continues to amaze me. her acting is so well-rounded that she can take almost any role, from comedy (hot chick and wedding crashers) to drama (the notebook) to thriller (red eye). but then, just when you thought you've had enough, in comes will ferrell in a cameo role as the pioneer wedding crasher (i think cameos or supporting roles are best suited for ferrell. i didn't like his roles in the anchorman and zoolander, although i think he was great in old school). is there anything more you can ask for? my only disappointment is that i feel they should've given keir o'donnell (mcadam's weirdo brother) a bigger role. the bondage scene is roflmfao-funny. watch it, so you'd know what i'm referring to. i won't say much about the story, as this is a review, not a synopsis. i suggest getting your ass in a theater. vince vaughn alone is worth your P150.

| Filmphiler August 14, 2005 11:02 PM PDT i enjoyed it, too! immensely! never mind how thin the plot is or how two-dimensional the characters were.. hehehe... | ||
| jeff August 7, 2005 09:32 PM PDT yes, i understand your point. white chicks is nowhere near wedding crashers. the only reason i compared the two is that by far, prior to wedding crashers, white chicks was the funniest movie i've seen in quite a while. but yeah, white chicks can't hold wedding crashers' jockstrap! =) | ||
| bong August 4, 2005 11:45 PM PDT don't even breathe 'wyt chix' & 'wedding crashers' in the same sentence man. wyt chix is not even close | ||
| jeff August 4, 2005 10:27 PM PDT yeah, i capital L-O-V-E the movie. laughed so hard i actually thought i'd throw up... and what about those cuts? they couldn't even do it seamlessly. now i'm curious as hell to see what they had edit it for... | ||
| rocketboy August 4, 2005 02:18 AM PDT I see you love it too. I actually bought the pirated DVD after seeing it on the theater just to see what I missed with the MTRCB cuts. | ||
